Dr. Stefan Blumensath is a proven specialist in all types of heart disease and has many years of experience as a senior physician and trainer in coronary intervention and pacemaker and defibrillator implantation (certified by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Kardiologie). After graduating with a degree in geophysics and completing research stays in Africa and South America, he studied medicine at the Freie Universität Berlin, Charité Berlin, and in the USA. He completed his specialist training at Charité Berlin and at academic teaching hospitals. In 2008, Dr. Blumensath began his career as an invasive cardiologist in large and renowned acute care hospitals in Berlin, most recently as deputy chief physician. With the start of his private medical practice in Berlin's Friedrichstrasse, his focus shifted to holistic and preventive medicine. He also works as an attending physician in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.

"My first degree in geophysics gave me a strong background in the natural sciences, but I was already fascinated by human medicine at that time. Humans are not machines, but living organisms, and so each person's symptoms and illnesses must be considered individually. In cardiology, we mainly use scientifically based methods to analyze and treat physical problems, but the broader context of the individual's life also plays an important role.
